Client : Al Tayer Group of Companies (Project in progress)

Sector : Diversified

Application : Inter - Group Company and Marketplace Integration

Overview : Al Tayer is a group of 26 companies involved into multiple business lines in the region of U.A.E.

Their businesses that the company is involved into expands from representing companies such as ABB to some of the most well known retail outlets established in the U.A.E.

Al Tayer as an organization has rolled out J.D. Edwards across all its companies and each of the organization currently functions as an independent entity. The financial information however is consolidated once a month for the reporting at the group level.

The companies within the group also buy and sell to the other companies within the same thereby following all the manual procedures and documentation of the entire Purchase as well as a Sales Cycle.

Solution : To help reduce the time and effort in this purchase and sales procedure, Al Tayer decided to implement Microsoft Biztalk Server as a tool to integrate all their group organizations.

Biztalk as an integration tool integrates the two different installs of J.D. Edwards i.e. the Buyer and the Seller, thereby providing for an electronic transfer of documents to and fro between the two.

Benefits : The electronic transfer of documents between the seller and the buyer entities helps reduce the time to process as well as the total cost of a transaction apart from reducing the paper based documents being generated in the earlier processes.
