RouteTrac architecture extends the application modularity and flexibility to the deployment
needs of an Organization. RouteTrac supports multiple deployment models giving Organizations
the choice to adopt ready-to –deploy system as ‘standalone’ or co-existing and integrated to
any enterprise system(s).
Integration can be Centralized with one single instance of RouteTrac communicating with multiple
enterprise system(s), Distributed with multiple ‘copies’ of RouteTrac foundation in depots/branches
with local integration to any point application system or Hybrid combining Centralization and
distributed architecture

SOLUTION COMPONENTS
RouteTrac mobile client used by sales personnel for transacting in field, is built for multiple
form factors and devices. It integrates seamlessly with the RouteTrac foundation as well as any
enterprise application system with range of connectivity/synchronization options of wireless, GPRS
or physical docking.
RouteTrac foundation used by sales supervisors, brand managers, distribution heads and administrators
allows for dynamic and adaptable configuration of the system to business and market needs. It supports
managing Organization data and field sales operation and reporting with derived sales intelligence using
OLAP data. Further it provides for in-field application and device management using remote connectivity
and over-the-air patching and upgrades.

SECURITY
RouteTrac provides for user and role base security with the ability to configure each screen on the
application for view/add/update/delete against a role. Additionally it also allows Role based security
by Region. A region is defined to contain entities such as Area, Sub Area, Street, Salesmen, Vehicle,
Route, Journey details, Customer, Pricing plans, promotions etc. However, shared data like Product master
are shared across regions. Users access to ‘region’ is controlled via assignment, A single user can be
assigned multiple regions to manage.
